This PhD examines how (digital) technological design shapes persone autonomy. Drawing on the enactive-sensorimotor approach, it locate autonomy at the leve! of sensorimotor life and habit farmation, wher1 design meets agency. Personal autonomy is conceptualized as the ongoin: capacity to regulate and reconfigure one's engagements according ti norms sedimented through past interactions. To assess technology's role i this process, the dissertation develops a theory of technicity tha understands technical objects as normatively structured regulators o behaviour. Focusing on digital technologies, it argues that hyperdesigne1 interfaces oriented toward phenomenological transparency arn automaticity can undermine autonomy by imposing rigid habits arn asymmetrical immersion. At the same time, the framework identifie possibilities far enhancing autonomy through designing far regulatior exploration, and collective appropriation. The dissertation integrates thes1 contributions through a synthetic introduction and faur publishe1 interdisciplinary papers, offering a philosophically grounded and operationc account of autonomy in technologically mediated life.
