The Laboratory of Democratic Innovation was born focused on the relation between Decidim and democracy. But democratic innovation results from many other processes, conflicts, factors and actors. In 2019 the laboratory will begin to explore the relationship between democracy and other spheres or approaches, such as those of science, data, or feminism.

 

This task must be carried out in common, in a participatory manner, with the lead of networks and collectives that are already working on these fronts. For this reason, on 12 December we will hold a collaborative mapping session of initiatives, projects, collectives and research in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, working on four axes of democratic innovation: participation, science, data and feminism. To this end, the workshop will be facilitated by the Citizen Initiatives Incubator and will learn how to use the free mapping tool CIVICS.CC.
